SkIDentity mobilises German eID card - Trustworthy identities now also for mobile devices

[Berlin, February 11th 2015] Within the congress ”Trusted Clouds for the digital trans-formation of economy”, which currently is taking place at the Federal Ministry of Eco-nomics and Technology (BMWi), two important innovations in the SkIDentity-project were presented today: At providers of online services can now register with their electronic identity (eID) card for the innovative SkIDentity service which allows the convenient configuration of the electronic identities which are accepted in their services. Furthermore, the “Cloud Identities” which are derived by SkIDentity from regular eID cards can now be transferred to smartphones such that they can be used within mobile applications.



With SkIDentity to ProfitCard - “Trusted Cloud” technology for “SecuRe Pay” and more

[Michelau, January 23rd 2015] Using the multiple awarded SkIDentity technology, sev-eral electronic identity (eID) cards and smart cards from the financial industry can be used at for registration to ProfitCard. For 15 years now the ProfitCard congress, which takes place from March 19th - 20th 2015, discusses cur-rent developments in the environment of credit and debit cards. With SkIDentity today the smart card based registration to ProfitCard and tomorrow also secure payment in the internet according to the recommendations of the ”European Forum on the Securi-ty of Retail Payments” (SecuRe Pay) will be possible.



With German eID card and Cloud to OMNICARD - Launch of the SkIDentity-Service on January 20th 2015 in Berlin

[Michelau, December 06th 2014] For 22 years now, the smart card community is meet-ing at the popular OMNICARD congress. From January 20th to 22nd, 2015 experts meet in Berlin to interchange ideas with respect to electronic identity (eID). In line with the theme the German eID card (neuer elektronischer Personalausweis, nPA) and several other smart cards can now be used at to register for the OMNICARD congress. This is made possible by the multiple awarded SkIDentity-Service, which will be presented at OMNICARD.



Registration for SkIDentity pilot test started

[Bochum, May 20th, 2014] The SkIDentity technology, which has been developed within the “Trusted Cloud” program, makes it easy to use the new German electronic identity (eID) card and similar credentials for strong authentication in the web. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy supports the introduction of this in-novative security technology and supports the “Trusted Cloud” program with about 50 million Euro. Interested public administrations, enterprises, associations and federations may now apply at to participate in the free SkIDentity pilot test.



„BürgerCloud“ realises eCard Strategy of the German government

[Hannover, March 10th, 2014] On occasion of the ninth anniversary of the adoption of the eCard Strategy of the German government and the beginning of CeBIT 2014 the initiative "Germany – Land of Ideas " decorated the "BürgerCloud" project of ecsec GmbH with the award “Selected Landmark in the Land of Ideas”. The innovative service uses various electronic ID cards for the efficient and secure execution of electronic participation processes, such as public opinion polls and petitions for example.



Secure login for cloud services as easy and user friendly as never before

[Hannover, February 26th, 2014] Using SkIDentity technology it is easy to integrate secure authentication methods into cloud and web applications. At the CeBIT stand of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (Hall 9, E24) it is shown how common electronic ID cards, such as the German eID card, the German eHealth card and various other authentication tokens can be used for strong authentication in the world wide web.



SkIDentity brings the German eID card to the cloud and to CeBIT 2013

[Hannover, February 27th, 2013] The SkIDentity team demonstrates at the CeBIT-booth of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi, Hall 9, booth G50), how the German eID card (neuer Personalausweis, nPA) and similar identity cards can be used for strong authentication and secure as well as cost efficient business processes in cloud computing environments.
